Dr. Katie Poole, PT, DPT
My interest in physical therapy began in high school when I found myself in physical therapy several times for knee injuries as a result of running track. I admired the passion that the therapists had for their work and for helping their patients achieve their goals, whether they were returning to sports or simple everyday activities like climbing the stairs. While I was unable to return to competitive running, the knowledge, dedication, compassion, and encouragement shown by my therapists helped me return to daily and recreational activities pain free and inspired me to want to do the same for my patients.
After being accepted into an accelerated PT program, I earned my BS in Exercise Science from Immaculata University in 2012 and my DPT from Thomas Jefferson University in 2014. While at Jefferson, I had the opportunity to complete several clinical affiliations in the orthopedic, inpatient rehabilitation, and ICU settings. I have experience working with patients of all ages and various diagnoses, from muscle sprains to joint replacements to traumatic brain injuries. While I enjoy treating patients with a wide variety of conditions, I am especially interested in conditions involving the spine and the lower extremities.
When not at work, I love spending time with my husband Matt, our families, and friends. I also enjoy biking, hiking, and reading.
