Head Athletic Trainer
Andre de Faria Filho, MS, LAT, ATC, CES, ROT
Andre’s education started at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. He graduated in 2015, and became a graduate assistant athletic trainer at East Stroudsburg University. Upon earning his master’s degree in 2016, he became an assistant athletic trainer at Division 1-AA Delaware State University. At Delaware State he was responsible for volleyball, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s track and baseball. Andre stayed in that position for one year before accepting the roll of head athletic trainer at Rosemont College in August of 2017. He currently supervises all 13 sports at Rosemont College.
Besides his master’s degree, he is a licensed athletic trainer in the states of Pennsylvania and Delaware. He also is a corrective exercise specialist and registered orthopedic technologist. Andre’s interests range broadly from healthcare and athletic administration to gait analysis and alternative medicine.
Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Andre has lived in the USA since 2009. In his spare time, he enjoys watching Philly sports and international soccer. Traveling, snowboarding and eating are some of his favorite hobbies.
